Local CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver – East Granby, CT Yard

Job Basics & Terminal Location

• Location: East Granby, CT yard hub. Start and wrap up your shifts right here every day.
• Operation: Grocery runs heading out across NJ, CT, MA, VT, RI, and NH within a 250-mile zone.
• Equipment: Automatic day cabs hauling reefers (pulling roughly 1,865 miles a week). You'll handle light unloading using a pallet jack (typically 1 to 3 pallets per stop). You will need your own dependable ride to and from the yard daily.
  

Compensation & Pay Scale

• Annual Earnings: Drivers average around $95,000 gross per year.
• Mileage Pay: Ranges from $0.500 to $0.540 per mile.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 limited-time bonus.

• • $50 daily shift bump (when completing all 5 scheduled days).
  • $30 to $31.50 per drop for Boston and the NYC Boroughs.
  • $23 to $24.50 per drop for all other stops.
  • $100 layover pay, plus hotel rooms covered if necessary.
  • Detention pay kicking in at $15 per hour after the first hour.
  • $160 holiday pay.
  • Orientation paid at $200 daily, alongside regular safety bonuses.
    

Schedule & Shift Details

• Home Time: Daily reset at home.
• Shift Length: Long 12- to 14-hour day shifts.
• Available Schedules: Pick from two options with a start window between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM:
• • Option A: Sunday through Thursday.
  • Option B: Tuesday through Saturday.
    

Hiring Requirements & Compliance

• Experience: At least 9 months of verified Class-A tractor-trailer driving history.
• Drug Screening: Pre-employment screening requires both a urine test and a hair follicle drug screen.
• Transportation: Must have reliable personal transportation to get to and from the yard each day.
