Local CDL-A Driver – Home Daily – Avg $1,750-$1,850/wk

Now hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for a home-daily local grocery distribution account based in Valparaiso, IN. Deliver pre-loaded palletized refrigerated freight from a regional distribution center to retail grocery stores throughout Chicago and Northern Indiana — about 1,800 miles per week.

Pay: Load-based — $39 unload pay plus $14.50 per stop. Drivers average $1,750-$1,850/week ($96,200/year).

Schedule: Home daily. Weekend work required. Most positions are day shift (start 10-11 AM, run to roughly 8 PM); a few overnight positions run 9-10 PM to roughly 9 AM.

Bonus: $500 referral bonus. No sign-on bonus currently offered.

Equipment: Late-model day cabs, automatic and standard transmissions.

Freight: Hands-on account — drivers unload freight at each store using an electric pallet jack and place pallets in designated locations. Strong customer-facing skills matter. Refrigerated experience preferred; training provided.

Requirements: 23+, valid Class A CDL, minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, clean MVR/safety record. Must live within 35 miles of 46383 (Valparaiso, IN).
