CDL-A Local Dry Van Driver – TARGET ACCOUNT | Shafter, CA

Hiring out of Shafter, CA! Earn around $1,200 per week on a dedicated local dry van account serving stores throughout California and Nevada. Enjoy mostly home-daily operations with no driver loading or unloading freight.

Pay Details

  • $1,200 average weekly pay
  • Pay based on experience: $0.53–$0.64 CPM
  • Up to 2,000 miles per week
  • $20 for loads under 100 miles
  • $15 stop pay for sweep trailer and backhaul, paid once
  • No bonus offered

Job Details

  • Dedicated local dry van operation
  • Hiring location: Shafter, CA
  • Routes within approximately 40 miles of the distribution center for dispatch, with deliveries throughout the Central Valley, greater Los Angeles area, and Las Vegas
  • No-touch freight
  • Drivers do not load or unload
  • Swap trailers at customer locations
  • Trailer must be secured with king pin locks
  • Slip-seat operation
  • Company trucks remain at the Shafter facility
  • Reliable transportation to and from work required

Shift Details

  • Night shift
  • Operation runs 24/7, Monday–Sunday
  • Home daily when operationally possible
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays required
  • During peak periods, drivers may work 6 days with 1 day off
  • Lower-volume periods may provide 5 days on / 2 days off
  • Peak season may require 2–3 overnight stays per week
  • Holiday work required

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • First-seat experienced drivers and trainees considered
  • Clean driving record
  • DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 15–20 lbs. to secure trailers
  • Reliable transportation to the Shafter facility
  • Must be willing to occasionally stay overnight during peak periods
