  • Training Pay: $20 per hour during onboarding, followed by activity-based training pay

Job Details

  • Dedicated local retail account
  • Operate within a 275-mile radius of Syracuse, NY
  • Deliver preloaded freight to approximately 4–5 stores per day
  • Average of 22 stops per week
  • Multiple loads per day may be required
  • Unload pallets with a pallet jack and deliver freight to store back rooms
  • Approximately 50% of deliveries require liftgate unloading
  • Count pallets, document delivered quantities on bills of lading, and report discrepancies
  • Secure freight between stops
  • May assist other local accounts or warehouse operations as needed

Shift Details

  • Home Daily
  • Typical start time: 9:00 AM
  • Shifts of approximately 12–14 hours
  • Non-peak schedule: Monday–Saturday, with Sunday and one additional nonconsecutive day off
  • Peak periods may require additional workdays:
    • July–October and January: generally 5 workdays, with an optional sixth day
    • November–December: assigned 6-day schedule with 1 day off per week; the day off cannot be a weekend
  • Additional Saturday work may be required during holidays and volume spikes
  • No work on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Eve
  • Year-end inventory shutdown may result in limited or no work for several days or longer

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean driving record
  • DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, use a liftgate, secure freight, and accurately document deliveries
