Warehouse/ Local Delivery Driver - CDL B

RiverStone Group, Inc. has an immediate full-time opening for a local delivery driver / materials handler at our Building Materials location in Moline, IL.

A delivery driver is responsible for transporting and dropping off residential and commercial building materials while providing professional customer service.  This is a full-time, hourly position working 40 to 60 hours per week, 5/6 days per week based on season.  Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed. This position does not require over the road travel.

Candidates must have the ability to perform heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity.  A candidate holding a current CDL is preferred, but on the job training will be provided for an individual displaying ability and eagerness to learn.

Major Driver responsibilities include:

• Performing all duties at the highest level of safety
• Operating forklift for stocking, loading and organizing materials in warehouse as needed (up to 50%)
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving, ensuring that all delivery materials and quantities are accurate and firmly secured
• Performing vehicle pre-trip in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner

The ideal Driver candidate will have:

• High school diploma or GED
• A focus on safety and a strong work ethic
• Experience driving a boom truck and/or dump truck
• Forklift experience/certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain valid CDL license
