Local CDL-A Driver – Home Daily | $28/Hr + Overtime | No-Touch Freight

We're hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a local delivery position based in Taunton, Massachusetts. This opportunity offers daily home time, guaranteed minimum weekly hours, overtime pay, and no-touch freight.

Drivers transport furniture and related merchandise between retail stores and warehouse facilities throughout the region. This position is ideal for experienced CDL-A drivers looking for consistent local work without the physical demands of unloading freight.

Pay & Compensation

• Starting Hourly Pay: $28.00
• Overtime Pay: $42.00 per hour
• Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
• Average Weekly Hours: Approximately 48
• Average Weekly Earnings: $1,400–$1,530
• Average Annual Earnings: Approximately $80,000
• Holiday Pay: $140 per eligible holiday
• Paid orientation and specialized trailer training

Schedule & Home Time

• Home Daily
• Monday through Friday schedule
• 5:00 PM start time
• Approximately 9–10 hour shifts
• Occasional weekend work may be required
• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Average 48 hours weekly

Job Responsibilities

• Transport furniture and related merchandise to retail stores and warehouse locations.
• Operate within approximately a 250-mile radius of Taunton, MA.
• Drive company-owned day-cab tractors with 53-foot dry van trailers.
• Perform safe trailer connections and disconnections.
• Raise and lower the legs on specialized demountable trailers.
• Complete required 3–4 weeks of specialized trailer training.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding deliveries, schedules, and equipment concerns.

Freight Handling: This is a no-touch freight position. Drivers are not required to unload furniture but must be comfortable performing trailer-related duties.

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
• Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must reside within approximately 30 miles of Taunton, MA 02718.
• Must be available for a 5:00 PM start time.
• Must be willing to work occasional weekends when required.
• Ability to complete 3–4 weeks of specialized demountable trailer training.
• Must be comfortable raising and lowering trailer legs.
• Must meet applicable DOT and company safety requirements.
• SAP drivers are not eligible for this position.
