We're hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a dedicated local grocery delivery operation based in York, Pennsylvania.

This opportunity offers daily home time, average weekly earnings of $1,600–$1,825, a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus, and consistent year-round grocery freight.

Drivers transport dry and refrigerated grocery products to retail locations using automatic day-cab trucks and preloaded trailers.

This is primarily no-touch, palletized freight. However, drivers may occasionally be asked to assist with moving pallets at the rear of the trailer using a pallet jack.

Pay & Compensation

  • Average Weekly Earnings: $1,600–$1,825
  • Average Annualized Earnings: Approximately $85,000
  • Limited-Time Bonus: $10,000, subject to eligibility and bonus terms
  • Mileage Pay: $0.64 per mile
  • Daily Pay: $70 per day
  • Stop Pay: $19.25 per stop
  • Rail Shuttle Pay: $25
  • Detention Pay: $20 per hour after four hours
  • New-Hire Training Pay: $200 per day
  • Safety Training Pay: $20 per hour
  • Holiday Pay: $200 per eligible day

This position uses an activity-based compensation plan. Actual earnings vary based on assigned routes, mileage, completed stops, and qualifying activities. Average earnings are not guaranteed.

Schedule & Home Time

  • Home daily
  • Five-day weekend-wrap schedule
  • Weekend availability required
  • Local dedicated grocery deliveries
  • Holiday work may be required when scheduled
  • No scheduled loads on Thanksgiving or Christmas
  • Operating area within approximately 250 miles of York, PA
  • No New York City routes

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on dedicated grocery delivery routes.
  • Transport dry and refrigerated products to retail locations.
  • Complete multi-stop deliveries, generally averaging two stops per trailer.
  • Operate automatic day-cab tractors with 51-foot or 53-foot trailers.
  • Pick up assigned backhaul freight.
  • Complete drop-and-hook assignments when available.
  • Occasionally assist with palletized freight using a pallet jack.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records.
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch and receiving personnel.
  • Complete assigned deliveries safely and on schedule.

  • Dry van and refrigerated trailers

  • Assigned tractors, sometimes shared with an opposite-shift driver

Trucks remain at the facility during time off and cannot be taken home.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Qualifying tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must live within approximately 40 miles of York, PA 17406.
  • Must meet applicable DOT and company safety qualifications.
  • Must be comfortable operating automatic tractor-trailer equipment.
  • Ability to work the assigned five-day weekend-wrap schedule.
  • Availability for scheduled holiday work when applicable.
  • Ability to assist with palletized freight when required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable personal transportation to and from the reporting facility.
